I felt your prayers last month. Bless you all for praying for Retreat Home and our impact in the neighborhood! Our guest family is doing well. Mom's three-year-old joined the family at Retreat Home, and they are now reunited and enjoying each other's company, loudly and joyously! They will move out at the end of this month. The trip to Wenatchee went well, and we have received an enthusiastic invitation to keep moving forward and explore what this might look like. I will be returning in the first couple of weeks of June to visit churches, seek volunteers, and set up our Training workshops. I have emphasized that the invitation to come over the mountains needs to be funded, and that was well received. Please continue to pray for these requests.
New concerns, please pray for: Our Administrative Assistant has been quite ill and needs to step away from work. Please pray for her health and for this significant shift in her life, moving from what she has known to a more limited lifestyle. We love her, and she's been a huge part of our expansion.
We are hiring! We need the right person, a quick learner who can step in as soon as possible and help carry RH into the future! The job posting is on the website under “job opportunities”. Please send it to anyone who comes to mind as you pray, and post it in any community spot you know! Pray that this position is filled soon and that our volunteers and I will have the capacity to cover all responsibilities well until then.
Our Board is meeting on Saturday, April 18th, for a Retreat. Pray for our discernment in how and where we are moving, following the Spirit's lead and seeing Jesus at the center. Continue to pray for favor in the Charis grant. This month, we are working on two other grants. It's so much work, and we have had wonderful volunteers helping in this area. And finally, as always, we need more host families. Looking specifically for more in Tacoma, as the majority of our referrals are from here.
Thank you! May many of God's miraculous moments find you this month as we celebrate the Easter season and new life!
